In step 1 of an ERC Grant proposal evaluation, only part B1 with an extended synopsis of the project is evaluated. Some parts of the complete project from part B2 cannot be included due to length limitations but the absence of these elements in part B1 can be badly perceived by the panel members. How can we decide what elements of the project are critical to pass step 1 of the evaluation?
